Samsung Finally Launches 'Good Lock' App for Galaxy Devices on the Play Store

Samsung has formally released its Good Lock app as a downloadable entity via the Google Play Store, making it accessible beyond the Galaxy Store and limited areas. Good Lock is an application suite that allows for intricate customisation of a Samsung Smartphone’s user interface—without requiring the device to be rooted.

While Samsung Good Lock has been in existence for a number of years, it was once only available in a limited number of markets and through Samsung's Galaxy Store. Samsung, however, announced earlier in January that the app would be released on the Play Store soon for Android 15-based One UI 7 devices. With the official One UI 7 rollout now kicking into high gear, Good Lock has started showing up on the Play Store.

Good Lock can now be downloaded from the Play Store on a select number of Samsung Galaxy devices that are running One UI 7.Business Standard verified during testing that the app is already downloadable on the Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

One UI 7 devices being considered for rollout would further expand the list of already relatively powerful Galaxy models and tablets.

Good Lock behaves as a modular software suite, granting users the option to personalise a multitude of different elements of Samsung's One UI interface. Every module has a specific function—LockStar provides the option to customise the layout of the lock screen, while Home Up gives users options for modifying items such as the home screen, apps screen, and share menu. Other modules exist that permit the alteration of gesture controls and the activation of multitasking capabilities, like requiring apps to operate on the cover screen on foldable displays.

The new version brings visual improvements, filters to assist users in locating specific modules more quickly, and a new "My Page" section where users can see and manage their customisation settings at a glance.
